Whitney French

Dealing with tough emotions?  Repeating behaviors you don’t like?  Struggling spiritually?

I am here for you!  I believe each of us has a unique and powerful story.  Sometimes throughout the course of our life story we find ourselves seeking help for managing a current life circumstance which has us tied up in knots.  We may recognize that lifelong thoughts and behaviors have interfered with living a life of joy and fulfillment.  It is not unusual for pain and suffering to blindside us and we find it difficult to catch our breath, much less move forward into the next day.  During these times, we may find ourselves wondering … if only we could write our story in such a way that brings healing and restoration.

I often hear people remark that they wish there was a magic pill or potion which would resolve their struggles and worries.  It has been my experience that working together, setting goals, learning from mistakes, and achieving success through research informed therapies provides physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth which is much more valuable in life.  My approach to therapy is shaped by my Christian worldview which encompasses God’s unconditional love, compassion, and forgiveness, sin, grace, and restoration and the working of the Holy Spirit within the context of the therapeutic hour.  I invite you to reach out for the help you hope for.  Together we can work through the difficulties of your life circumstances to move forward toward peace.

About Whitney French:

I am excited to be able to embark on a counseling career after fulfilling my initial role of being a stay-at-home mom to four sons. My husband of 32 years is my best friend. We blended our families (each of us contributed one son) and together we added two additional sons to the mix. Three of those sons are wonderful adults now. Our oldest son lost a courageous fight against leukemia when he was 19 and is waiting for us in the presence of Jesus Christ. We are the proud grandparents of our 16-month-old grandson. I am enjoying time with my husband and our pups, Finn and Ollie, as we navigate the paths of the empty nest years. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, board games with family and friends, gardening (roses, veggies, and herbs), traveling, and Colorado snow skiing with family in Durango.

Christian Perspective

Restoration’s worldview and approach to counseling are informed by the Bible and what it has to say about God and humans, sin and grace, and suffering and healing. We seek to partner with the Holy Spirit and with you to bring about lasting change in your life. We are competent to work with you to integrate your faith beliefs into your counseling process.

Although we are unapologetically Christian in our approach to counseling, we welcome clients from all (or no) faith backgrounds. We work respectfully with you according to your wishes about how to incorporate or not incorporate faith beliefs into your counseling process.
