Michelle Shove, PLPC

Did life turn out how you planned? Is It what you expected it to be? Feeling
disillusioned? Is It getting harder to ignore feelings of disappointment? We’ve been there, and it’s exhausting.
Oftentimes a gap exists between our expectations and reality. That’s where
counseling comes in. It can help you minimize the divide between what you thought life would be like and what it’s really like. When you address the conflict between the two, you can experience hope again. It takes courage to be vulnerable. We would be honored to walk through the process with you and to let you set the pace.
Are you ready to have hope and joy again? What’s stopping you? Call today to set up an appointment.

About Michelle Shove:
I am saved by grace, wife to Donald, and mom to four amazing children – two girls, and two boys raised on two different continents. We’ve recently added two sons-in-law to the mix. I am a native New Orleanian and I met and married my marine husband right here in New Orleans. Together, we have lived all over the world with the US Military. After retiring from the marine corps, God called us back to New Orleans where I received my master’s degree in counseling. I can assure you, after 20 years of travel, there’s no place like home.
My favorite pastimes involve getting to know a culture through its local cuisine. I think chips and salsa should be a staple! And date nights for married couples should be a requirement! I also love Sunday afternoon naps, reading novels set in the South, and dark chocolate! Not necessarily in that order!
Christian Perspective
Restoration’s worldview and approach to counseling are informed by the Bible and what it has to say about God and humans, sin and grace, and suffering and healing. We seek to partner with the Holy Spirit and with you to bring about lasting change in your life. We are competent to work with you to integrate your faith beliefs into your counseling process.
Although we are unapologetically Christian in our approach to counseling, we welcome clients from all (or no) faith backgrounds. We work respectfully with you according to your wishes about how to incorporate or not incorporate faith beliefs into your counseling process.
